Doctor O'Connor: I have set myself apart from other physicians by caring for the “underserved” Power Sportsman; however, I also offer medical services for the “not so hard-core”.
I currently take care of Men who I consider “Top Producers”; this ranges from top CEO’s in Connecticut through Iron-Workers to Men who just want a Physician like me. I have heard that I can get a bit intense!
I have many years of clinical experience in Men’s health and bio-identical Testosterone replacement. In the end, its actually all the same philosophy. I have been trained by some of the best Physicians in the world and I take my job very seriously. I care for people who take their lives and health as a priority. I am not a physician for people who take their health lightly. That I promise! On an annual basis, as a patient of the Anabolicdoc, you will come to my medical office where I am licensed as a physician in Connecticut. Everything I do is medico- legal to the standard of care.
Under my care I will conduct a thorough History and Physical exam. This will be conducted in the absolute privacy of my personal office in West Hartford, Connecticut. I do not use any Nurses, Physician’s Assistants or technical staff.
I will be the only person who you will deal with medically.
The scope of my professional staff is to provide an efficient means for us (doctor-patient) to have an intimate medical relationship. They are in no way part of your medical care plan! The initial examination/visit will be extremely thorogh. This is what it takes for us to get to know each other.
I will assess your goals related to the Power Sports or just staying healthy and strong. We will start with your health relating to current and past medical conditions, psychosocial status, sexual performance, Men’s health issues, genetic/family medical history, current and past medications (including the use of anabolic agents/pro-hormones and related substances). During this visit, I can address any medical questions you may have. I will conduct a full review of your medical systems, vital signs (heart rate, blood pressure and body anthropometrics, e.g., BMI) and a detailed physical exam.
The physical exam will be focused on detecting serious medical conditions that will end-up killing you! Or at least for now, slowing you down. For example: hypertension and physical manifestations of the signs and symptoms of abnormalities of glucose metabolism and atherosclerosis. Not to mention alterations of kidney, liver function, testicular and prostate health. Like any other man, detecting and treating these medical issues early translates into not only longer life spans, but much improved qualities of life! And to the Power Sportsman, improved performance for more years! You will have an ECG of your heart conducted and a full spectrum of laboratory blood and urine studies for assessment by me.
All of this to gain the fullest understanding of your current state of health.
Laboratory studies are based on a case-by -case assessment, but at the very least, I will be checking: CBC-your blood products and bone marrow function, fasting comprehensive metabolic panel-including diabetes, liver and kidney function, lipid panel, thyroid chemistry, Testosterone/Estrogen-male panel, sexual transmitted disease panel, PSA (if appropriate). As a physician, I can assess any laboratory study possible! Considerations for this comes out during our medical history and physical exam.
